(Yes, the Grand Canyon is in the background of the photo above!)

Hello, everyone! I am a rising senior at Hartwick College and work as a Blue Key Tour Guide. I am an Environmental Chemistry major with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Political Science. This summer I will be working with the EPA and Environmental Justice and I am super excited!

I am very sensitive and caring and full of joy. I love nature, the power of love, and frienship. Please feel free to ask questions, though, I will not answer anything super personal. I hope you enjoy my blog. Have a wonderful day!

Friends

I have a new found love for the show Friends. It is so great :D

Reflection on an Old Post and New Happiness

I found the following post from a year ago. I am glad I was optimistic. I did find love again. I had a taste of it during this past school year, but that ended as many good things in life do, but it made room in my life for an even more amazing thing to come in. Tim is now my heart and soul. He is the new love in my life and I believe he will always be there. He makes me so happy and understands me so well. Right when we started talking more this summer we understood each other’s ideas about love, life, and society right away and could pretty much finish each other’s sentences and discussions about pretty much every topic. I am so amazed and so happy that I have found him. I hope to never let him go. I cannot wait to see him tomorrow :)

But then I remember just how full of love I am and I know I could never give up on it even if I wanted to. And love really is amazing and their is an abundance of family and friend love all around me. And I believe one day I will find deep love, but I just have to be patient. Love is something amazing and if it was more common, we would take it for granted and it would no longer be so special.

Whenever you hear that someone else has been successful, rejoice.
Always practice rejoicing for others—whether your friend or your enemy.
If you cannot practice rejoicing, no matter how long you live, you will not be happy

This past weekend were the town fireworks. Tim got to meet Robert and Rachel and was reintroduced to Shannon. We all had a lot of fun. Rachel was extra crazy for some reason but that just made everything more fun. At one point we went through the things in her trunk. We now have some jokes about oranges. Rachel read Green Eggs and Ham to us for fun. The fireworks started out slow but the second half and the finale, especially, were great. Rachel of course stayed at our house late, as always. Tim slept over and our first official date was the next day.
