Hello, everyone! I am a rising junior at Hartwick College and work as a Blue Key Tour Guide. I am an Environmental Chemistry major with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Political Science. This summer I will be working with the EPA and Environmental Justice and I am super excited!
I am very sensitive and caring and full of joy. I love nature, the power of love, and frienship. Please feel free to ask questions, though, I will not answer anything super personal. I hope you enjoy my blog. Have a wonderful day!

I had a cavity filled today which wasn’t bad at all. The problem is that I am still numb, but my chin is itchy and no matter what I do the feeling won’t go away! :/
Rachel was addicted to Pinterest while she was over this weekend for Anna’s graduation party so I decided to get one and try it out.
I had a great four day weekend with Timothy! <3
Tim came over on Thursday because I we had plans for the weekend and I couldn’t get a ride Friday and this way he wouldn’t have to drive both ways in one day to pick me up and bring me home right away. He had a long day of work so I went shopping with Shannon after I got out of work. Tim finally got to my house around 7:00 and we had dinner. We spent most of the night watching the Rock Orchestra DVD. We thought about swimming but it was too cold for Tim :P so her just gave me some of his music and we went to bed.
Tim drove me to work int he morning and explored Crossgates Mall until he could pick me up. I had to do my journal entry about work and finish packing and change out of my garden clothes and then we were on our way to the Syracuse area. During the drive we passed my family driving in the opposite direction and got to wave at them.
Our first stop was at Turning Stone Casino just so Tim could show me the amazing glass blown tree in one of the hallways. Then, we headed over to Carousel Mall so I could see it since Tim’s dad had a conference call that evening. When we got to Tim’s house his father was extremely kind and welcoming and we talked for awhile while Tim’s mom was on the phone and then the five of us went out to dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant where I ate delicious eat plant and answered lots of questions about myself. I really enjoyed getting to know his parents and brother. After dinner, Tim’s dad gave me a driving tour of Baldwinsville. It was very nice. Then, Tim took me to Whiskey Hollow, the jerk ;P
Saturday morning Tim took me to Oswego for a surprise. He took me to a little area of flat rocks on Lake Ontario where people were swimming and hanging out. We dipped our feet in the water and talked for a little while. It was a great surprise! The place was beautiful and I loved it. He then took me to a cute place on the water for lunch that is a lot like our local Jumpin’ Jack’s. After lunch we went back to his house to rest for a little bit and I met some more of his family.
We left just before 4:00 to pick up Markee from her camp and then we headed to Buffalo for the Moe. concert. It was great to spend time with Markee and she was happy to have a break from camp. The concert was located at a place right on the harbor so we spent time near the water (and the battleship Tim was excited to see) until Moe. came on and then we stood up pretty close but off to the side to watch the first half of the show. During intermission we went back to the water and enjoyed water the boats and the lights and the sunset. We watched the second half of the show from the blanket we brought.
The drive back was two and a half hours and we got back around 2:30 am. We got to bed by 3:00 and Tim had to get up at 5:00 am for work. Tim’s parents were extremely kind and treated me to breakfast at the B’ville diner, which was a malt shop era type place. After breakfast, I hung out outside with Tim’s parents and extended family until Tim got home from work. I really enjoyed time with his family and they liked hearing about Tim from me.
When Tim came home we hung out with his family for awhile and then we tried to take a nap. We were almost asleep and then we were called down to have hot dogs for dinner. We never to sleep but relaxed together and talked and tickled and just had a great time being together. I really loved his family and can’t wait to see them again. Tim is coming over this weekend for my sister’s graduation party and then we are working on plans for a SPAC concert with Shannon and Kyle and then fireworks in Oswego :)
So all in all I had a blast this weekend. It was super fun.
I found the following post from a year ago. I am glad I was optimistic. I did find love again. I had a taste of it during this past school year, but that ended as many good things in life do, but it made room in my life for an even more amazing thing to come in. Tim is now my heart and soul. He is the new love in my life and I believe he will always be there. He makes me so happy and understands me so well. Right when we started talking more this summer we understood each other’s ideas about love, life, and society right away and could pretty much finish each other’s sentences and discussions about pretty much every topic. I am so amazed and so happy that I have found him. I hope to never let him go. I cannot wait to see him tomorrow :)
But then I remember just how full of love I am and I know I could never give up on it even if I wanted to. And love really is amazing and their is an abundance of family and friend love all around me. And I believe one day I will find deep love, but I just have to be patient. Love is something amazing and if it was more common, we would take it for granted and it would no longer be so special.
It is gorgeous out today so I spent the day outside.
The cows always come closer when pass them on my walks.
My sister graduated from high school yesterday. I’m so proud! :)
I got my Rock Orchestra DVD today! I’m waiting to watch it with Tim, though.
This past weekend were the town fireworks. Tim got to meet Robert and Rachel and was reintroduced to Shannon. We all had a lot of fun. Rachel was extra crazy for some reason but that just made everything more fun. At one point we went through the things in her trunk. We now have some jokes about oranges. Rachel read Green Eggs and Ham to us for fun. The fireworks started out slow but the second half and the finale, especially, were great. Rachel of course stayed at our house late, as always. Tim slept over and our first official date was the next day.
