(Yes, the Grand Canyon is in the background of the photo above!)

Hello, everyone! I am a rising senior at Hartwick College and work as a Blue Key Tour Guide. I am an Environmental Chemistry major with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Political Science. This summer I will be working with the EPA and Environmental Justice and I am super excited!

I am very sensitive and caring and full of joy. I love nature, the power of love, and frienship. Please feel free to ask questions, though, I will not answer anything super personal. I hope you enjoy my blog. Have a wonderful day!

This is still one of my favorite songs…

Oh What A Metaphor

The sun it dances on the fragile sea

The wind it winds and finds its way through the trees

The mountains reach as high as they can breath

And the empty sky is full of memories

And it’s so damn beautiful

Yeah, it’s so damn beautiful

Oh, it’s always beautiful

Just to see

My eyes fall out just so that they can see

Just how far the ground is from our feet

The dull lit moon sinks just beyond our reach

It’s a lovers light, lying laying lonely

And it’s so damn beautiful

Yeah it’s so damn beautiful

It’s so god damn beautiful

just to breathe

Yea it’s so damn beautiful

oh, it’s so damn beautiful

It’s so fucking beautiful

Just to believe

Your eyes they glow like beams upon the sea

Your cold stone stare it drives right through me

And all I want is you right here with me

But my empty heart is full of melodies

I’m in love with this song since I’ve seen them live.

Great song. We went to the neighboring college and watched Yellowcard perform live :)

Kiss Me — Sixpence None the Richer

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

[Chorus:]
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon’s sparkling
So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We’ll take the trail marked on your father’s map

[Chorus (repeat)]

Shannon, Sarah, Mike, and I sang the Veggie (W)Rap out visitors to the garden today. We only sang three versus. There are more.

I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you, or tell you that. But if I didn’t say it, well I’d still have felt it. Where’s the sense in that? I promise I’m not trying to make your life harder or return to where we were.

I will go down with this ship and I won’t put my hands up and surrender. There will be no white flag above my door. I’m in love and always will be.

White Flag, Dido
