(Yes, the Grand Canyon is in the background of the photo above!)
Hello, everyone! I am a rising junior at Hartwick College and work as a Blue Key Tour Guide. I am an Environmental Chemistry major with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Political Science. This summer I will be working with the EPA and Environmental Justice and I am super excited!
I am very sensitive and caring and full of joy. I love nature, the power of love, and frienship. Please feel free to ask questions, though, I will not answer anything super personal. I hope you enjoy my blog. Have a wonderful day!
Yeah, he was. After we broke up, he wasn’t so great to me. He said we would stay friends, but he got a bit pissy and we didn’t. I am fine with that now, though. I have a great life and I don’t know him any more. We have barely talked at in the past year and I haven’t heard from him in about six months or so which is fine because I have been over him for quite awhile now.
So you live out that way. I don’t think I have been to East Greenbush. I have a few college friends who live there. One of my best friends lives in Watervliet and I live out in Schenectady County. Yeah, the weather hasn’t been the greatest. I was very hot last week, but the heat wasn’t too bad in the garden until Thursday and Friday.
I love butterflies. They are beautiful. And, now that I think about it, I probably also love them because they are pollinators.
Today at work, we went over to the Horticulture Center in the park and we were harvesting in the high tunnel. There was a black butterfly hanging around some of the tomato plants. When it landed on on of the leaves, I went over to it to see if I could get it on my finger. To my surprise, the butterfly stayed on the leaf as I approached and I was able to slip my finger under its legs and it stayed right on my finger. I was so excited!! The butterfly stayed until I made it fly away. I made sure not to touch its wings. This definitely made my day, possibly my week :)
This looks a bit like the butterfly. Shanita was trying to take a photo and I didn’t realize it and let it fly off too son.
My sister and I are almost caught up with Doctor Who. We started watching together at the beginning of the summer and then couldn’t find the season six episodes. A friend helped us and now we only have one episode to go. We have been watching after work together and will be watching the last one tonight. I can’t wait :)
